The Brief
If you sign up, we store your email, the page the form sat on, and whether you confirmed. Signup is double opt-in. We email a confirm link. You are not on the list until you click it. Unsubscribe is one click, in every email and at the link we send.
We don't sell emails. We don't rent the list. We don't trade it for "partnerships."
Who handles it
The list is kept in a private Postgres database (Neon). Confirmation mail goes out through Resend. The site is hosted on Vercel. Those companies process the data only so we can run the Brief.
Cookies
Readers don't get a tracking cookie. The private editor at /admin sets one httpOnly session cookie after a password login. It is not used on the public site.
Affiliate links
Some stories link to products. If we would earn a commission, the link is marked rel="sponsored nofollow". The recommendation is still ours. The price you pay shouldn't change.
